The RV park is located in the center of Eagle Nest village within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops and art galleries. We are pet friendly, and offer daily, weekly and monthly RV rates for 30 amp and 50 amp sites. The park has a recreation room for get-togethers, games and weekly potluck dinners. Our customers enjoy WiFi as well as shower and laundry facilities.

The Lost Eagle RV Park also offers a completely furnished, three bedroom, two full bath Guest House vacation home for nightly rental. The vacation rental home sleeps eight with queen sleeper sofa and is equipped with a full kitchen, appliances, cooking utensils, dishes, linens, washer and dryer and DirecTV. The vacation rental is non-smoking and we are sorry that we cannot accommodate pets in the home. Situated on the North shore of majestic Eagle Nest Lake, Eagle Nest is bursting with Old West culture that includes a western downtown. The Main Street is less than a mile long, with shops carrying locally-made crafts and fine arts, Indian jewelry, antiques, and much more. For the ANGLER, Eagle Nest Lake, the newest State Park in New Mexico, has some of the best fishing for trophy Rainbow trout, and Kokanee salmon in all the southwest! Adjacent to 1.6 million acre Carson National Forest, Eagle Nest is a NATURE LOVER’S PARADISE for the camper, backpacker, hiker or four-wheeler.

Eagle Nest Lake State Park is the newest state park in New Mexico. The 2,200 acre lake boasts some of the finest trophy fishing for Rainbow and Kokanee Salmon in the Southwest. The State Game and Fish Department regularly stocks Eagle Nest Lake with trout, salmon and Snake River Cutthroat. Anglers can fish from the banks or by boat (boat rentals available) and ice fish in the winter. Ice fishing usually begins in January and the first open water fishing usually starts in April. Stream fishing in nearby Cimarron Canyon State Park also offers a worthwhile challenge to fly and bait anglers. At 8,300 feet in elevation, the park offers a cool retreat from the summer heat for fisherman, boaters, campers and wildlife enthusiasts.

Northern New Mexico's enchanted circle scenic byway provides year-round recreation in the Southern Rocky Mountains. At the Lost Eagle RV Park, you can enjoy the convenience of 30 and 50 amp sites just minutes away from Eagle Nest Lake, the Angel Fire ski and golf resort and a multitude of recreational activities.
An abundance of animals—elk, bear, mule deer, eagles, turkeys, Grouse and other birds—inhabit the area, making Eagle Nest Lake an ideal location for wildlife viewing. In the winter, ice fishing and snowmobiling are popular sports when ice thickness permits. Snowmobiling is limited to the lake surface.

Eagle Nest is also headquarters for some of the best big and small game hunting in America. Trophy elk, bear, mountain lion and deer are taken in both public hunt areas and through professional guide services on private lands throughout the area. For the camper, backpacker, hiker or four -wheeler, Eagle Nest is adjacent to the 1.6 million acre Carson National Forest with easy entry to the Wheeler Peak Wilderness area. Wheeler Peak is New Mexico’s tallest mountain (13,161 feet).

The Carson National Forest has hundreds of trails for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding. One favorite is the Sundero Del Sol Trail. This is an 11 mile multi-use trail that connects the Villages of Eagle Nest in the north and Angel Fire in the south. This trail provides a beautiful recreational outlet with views of Wheeler Peak, and connects to the Eagle Nest Lake State Park.

Cancellation Policy:
There is a $15.00 cancellation fee. A reservation cancellation for deposit refund, less the cancellation fee, can be made as late as 14 days before scheduled arrival on all dates except December 20 thru January 1.
Requirement for December 20 thru January 1 cancellation for deposit refund, less the cancellation fee, is 30 days notice. If we are not notified of reservation cancellation 14 days ahead of scheduled arrival date, with the exception of 30 days notice ahead of arrival date December 20 thru January 1, the deposit is non-refundable.

The small village of Eagle Nest is located between the New Mexico's two highest Mountains - Wheeler Peak at 13,161 feet elevation and Baldy Mountain at 12,441 feet. As the highest point in New Mexico's Rocky Mountains, Wheeler Peak is a favorite mountain for hikers.

Eagle Nest Lake offers year round activities for the whole family. During the summer there is excellent fishing and boating. If you prefer to sit on the banks of cool Eagle Nest Lake, you can fish for trout and salmon and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Just a few short miles into Cimarron Canyon you can experience some awesome fly fishing.

Eagle Nest hosts the third largest fireworks display in New Mexico every July 4th. The spectacular show can be viewed throughout the area over Eagle Nest Lake. Mountain biking is a popular summer sport at nearby Angel Fire ski area. And the last weekend in July brings the High Plains Arts and Crafts show to Eagle Nest with many unique handmade gifts and crafts.

If you are looking for winter sports we have area snow skiing, sledding, snow boarding, cross country skiing and ice fishing! Elk, mule deer, bear, mountain lion, coyote, turkey and eagles roam free and can be seen at any time. The tall pines and beautiful aspens give our area the magnificent landscape that only Northern New Mexico can offer.
